Ashley's review of Glow10

The Ruby-Glow is a unique product as it is designed to be a hands-free vibrator that the user sits on. It is made from high-grade silicone, with two main ridges, which operate with independent motors that are controlled via two buttons at the front of the product. The first ridge is designed to provide clitoral stimulation, and has several smaller ridges to provide additional stimulation as they are rubbed against during use. The second ridge is a more subtle curve and sits at the opening of the vagina, to provide additional external stimulation as there is no internal part to this product. Size wise, the Ruby-Glow is approximately the same length as the average woman's hand, and is operated via two AAA batteries.

I was excited to try a hand-free product to see if this would be something that could be suitable for those with physical disabilities or limited control over hand movements, with which traditional vibrators could be more difficult to use. Upon the first use of the Ruby-glow I did note that the vibrations are on the more buzzy side, which if you are accustomed to more rumbly vibrations, may be a deal-breaker. Unfortunately, upon the first use of the Ruby-Glow, I was left underwhelmed by the vibrations as my go-to product is We-Vibe Tango, which are known for their rumbly vibrations. However, I did persevere to attempt to make this product work for me. In an attempt to get over the buzzy vibrations, I did abstain from the Tango for an extended period of time, which made a big difference to my opinion of the Ruby-Glow.

As far as the general use of the product; I found that the most comfortable position to use the Ruby-Glow was to place a small pillow or cushion between my legs as I was kneeling, and then place the Ruby-Glow on top of the cushion. The elevation meant that the motion was similar to 'being on top', and was easier to control the positioning of the product. I did find that I had to reposition the vibe a few times as it is relatively lightweight, it did shift with my movements. This was a bit irritating as it broke pattern and concentration. I also noted that the vibrations dissipated because of the thick silicone around the motors - it was much stronger in the base of the product, vs where you would want them to be at the front. Given how thick the silicone is, the front ridges were surprisingly hard against the clitoris, which after a short while, did become uncomfortable. I also tried sitting on the edge of the bed on the product as well, similar to sitting in a chair, but found that this didn't allow for much movement. So didn't really do anything for me.

Unfortunately, no matter how many times I tried to make the Ruby-Glow work for me, I just couldn't get to the finish line. Whether it was the need to reposition, so the product was moving from where you wanted it to be, thus meaning you had to focus and couldn't fully relax into it. Or that the vibrations were lost in the surprisingly uncomfortable silicone. I think that the Ruby-Glow would still be better suited to someone who doesn't have much experience with vibrators, and potentially has a more sensitive clitoris. The concept for this product is great, and the design may work for someone else. But just not me in this case.
