Definitely numbs well as it says. Best thing to do is use something to suppress your tongue so that you can spray into the back of the throat, as not doing so usually results in the majority of the spray just hitting and numbing your tongue (not ideal). Nice butterscotch-like taste, with a slight alcohol tone (butter rum describes it well)
